Art with a tale to tell…

“I’m an artist! I… art… things?” I once told my dear friend Lyndsay, too excited about her story and the drawings she wanted me to do for it to string together a coherent sentence.

“Arting things” pretty well encapsulates what I have tried to do with my life, whether those things are illustrations, stories, sculptures, or tasty concoctions formed from fridge leftovers. My enthusiasm for creating transcends traditional grammatical sentence structure, and I try not to take myself too seriously so that all of my serious can go into my work instead.

Storytelling is a huge part of my life, from my illustrations and writing to my work on the What the Folklore? podcast. I love working with other creatives, too, bringing their own stories and ideas to life through character design and illustration work, and sometimes through story consulting and editing.
